What Do You Think About Israeli Ethnic Cleansing?

"The Ultimate Aim is the Transfer of Arab-Israelis"

  • Some 55 percent of Jewish Israelis say that the state should encourage Arab emigration;
  • 78 percent of Jewish Israelis oppose including Arab parties in the government;
  • 56 percent agree with the statement that “Arabs cannot attain the Jewish level of cultural development”;
  • 75 percent agree that Arabs are inclined to be violent. Among Arab-Israelis, 54 percent feel the same way about Jews.
  • 75 percent of Israeli Jews say they would not live in the same building as Arabs.

Do You Know "Anti-Semitism" As A Tool Of Israeli Ethnic Cleansing?

Palestinians are "Semites," but the word anti-Semitism is never applied to prejudice against them, only to Jews. The restriction on the application to Jews, and failure to use it in reference to Palestinians, continues in the face of the fact that prejudice against Jews has sharply diminished in the West from the era of Hitler, and that the Arabs have displaced them as target of anti-"Semite" hostility. Thus the usage itself reflects power and deep-seated bias.

What is more, the use of "anti-Semitism" has long been an opportunistic ploy of supporters of Israel to counter criticism of Israel, with mentions of the Holocaust and allegations of prejudice against Jews used to elicit sympathy for Israel, supposedly once again being threatened by menacing enemies. But the fact is that Israel has created increasing numbers of enemies by refusing to leave the occupied territories, or to abide by the Geneva Conventions, or to halt the steady and increasingly brutal ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinians in favor of Jewish settlers, many immigrants from abroad. By identifying opposition to Sharon and Israeli ethnic cleansing with "anti-Semitism," pro-ethnic cleansing activists have made "anti-Semitism" -- in their distorted and unacceptable sense -- a moral obligation for all decent human beings.

---Dr. Sami Al-Arian of the University of South Florida was suspended from his job teaching computer science and taken to court for pro-Palestinian statements and allegations about terrorist associations, after an "O'Reilly Factor" attack, university donor financial threats, and a trustee's meeting from which Al-Arian was forbidden attendance and at which no one was permitted to speak on his behalf (this board of trustees was hand-picked by Jeb Bush).

---Harvard President Lawrence Summers publicly assailed the campaign for divestment of stocks in Israel claiming that the campaign was "anti-Semitic in effect, if not intent." This statement interpreted a very clear effort to punish Israel for its ethnic cleansing as anti-Semitism, and even implicitly challenged the intent of the campaigners. Presumably a cutback of the U.S. subsidy to Israel as a penalty for ethnic cleansing would also be anti-Semitic "in effect." Summers has internalized the propaganda line of the friends of Israeli ethnic cleansing.

---A full page ad in The New York Times of October 7, 2002, sponsored by the American Jewish Committee, and calling for the ending of harassment of "Jewish students," was signed by the presidents of more than 300 U.S. colleges and universities. Several college leaders refused to sign unless the ad extended the call beyond "Jewish students," but this request was denied by the AJC. This appalling ad was not only prepared by an interested party that refused to make the call to end harassment more general, it has been issued in a period when Jewish students and Jewish pro-Israel ethnic cleansing activists have been on balance far more the aggressors doing the harassing than victims of harassment.

How Can You Deny Israeli Ethnic Cleansing?

Gamla, a group founded by former Israeli military officers and settlers, offers a detailed plan for forcibly expelling all Palestinians, both from the occupied territories and the Palestinian citizens of Israel, within a 3-5 year period. This may be too long for some: there are persistent reports that Ariel Sharon has ordered his forces to prepare to drive hundreds of thousands of Palestinians over the border into Jordan, possibly on the day the United States conflict starts against Iraq. Sharon has recently rejected an official Jordanian request that Israel issue a public declaration opposing the "Transfer" of Palestinians (Ha’aretz, 29.11.02).

As recent Jewish history shows, the way from mass-deportation to mass-murder is a dangerously short one. Recall that Hitler’s death camps were his second-best "solution" for the Jewish "problem": at first, the Third Reich intended "just" to deport (or "re-settle") the Jews to wherever possible – Palestine, Eastern Europe, Madagascar.

Who Can Deny The Existence of Israeli Ethnic Cleansing?

Immediately after the occupation of East Jerusalem in 1967, the Zionists began with the ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem to make place for American and European Jews. They began implementing their plans to delete Palestinian Jerusalem and replace it with a Zionist version. One important landmark, a distinctive feature, of Palestinian Jerusalem is Al-Haram Ash-Sharif compound which includes Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. To completely wipe out any Palestinian feature of the city, it was necessary to wipe out Al-Haram Ash-Sharif compound. To achieve this, a series of attacks, under various naming and excuses, were carried out on the Noble Sanctuary. These include:

1. The complete destruction of the Magharbeh Muslim Quarter and Al-Sharaf neighbourhood adjacent to the walls of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Hundreds of Palestinian houses and building were demolished and the residents expelled to make place for a Jewish Quarter, and on the ruins of Palestinian homes a Plaza was erected for the Western Wall.

2. Excavations and Digging underneath Al-Haram Ash-Sharif compound and around it with the excuse of archaeology. Under the directions of the Jewish state, a Jewish archaeological team has been digging under and around the Al-Haram Ash-Sharif since 1968 in search of any traces of a Jewish Temple. This weakened the foundations of the compound and threats it with sure collapse. These excavations and tunnel diggings constitute a violation of the Hague and the Geneva Conventions and the various resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UNESCO regarding Jerusalem. In addition to that, the Noble Sanctuary is a holy site to Muslims all over the world and destroying it in search of possible Jewish relics shows disdain and contempt towards Islam. Here is a short chronology of the Zionist excavations:

1967-1968: extensive diggings carried out on an area of 70 m² under the southern wall of Al-Aqsa.

1969: the continuous diggings exceeded an area of 80 m² adjacent to the wall of Al-Aqsa and the demolition of the Magharbeh Quarter.

1970: diggings caused serious cracks that weakened the foundation of the Ottoman Mosque (Ribat Al-Kurd) and the Jawhiriya School.

1972-1974: diggings behind the wall of Al-Aqsa that extend across its southern wall and under the Mihrab pulpit and beneath the Mosque of Omar. In addition, diggings in the eastern side of the wall near the Golden Gate, inflicting extensive damage upon the ancient Islamic cemetery there. And the expansion of the area of the Wailing Wall with the purpose of destroying several historic Islamic buildings in the area surroundings the Wailing Wall.

1977: an Israeli Ministerial Committee endorsed the implementation of this plan, which includes the demolition of several Islamic historic buildings, including the Old Islamic Shari’s Court, the Tankinazia School, the Khalidiya Library, a charitable Zawiya (corner) and the Abu-Median ancient Mosque.

1980: digging a tunnel right underneath Al-Aqsa Mosque.

1981: continuous diggings beneath the Noble Sanctuary, and Israel announces the “discovery” of a tunnel beneath the Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock which extends between both, as well as beneath the foundation of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Despite protests the diggings go on.

1988: digging a new tunnel near al-Ghanmeh Gate.

1994: digging a tunnel under the Via Dolorosa which threatens Islamic property around Al-Aqsa compound. Later in the year, Israeli media report that the Israeli authorities plan to start a huge project (“The King’s Hill”) around the Old City. This project is to include a 4-acre park at Salawduha area, roads to the Church of Gethsemane, construction of “Rahma Gate” underneath Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a subterranean road from the Church of Gethsemane to the wall of Silwan.

1995: the Israeli Antiquities Authority announces plans to uncover the ruins of the Solomon Temple, supposedly located under Al-Aqsa Mosque. This involves large-scale digs and violates international law. The UNESCO files a formal protest with the Israeli authorities about the excavations in the Old City, incl. the digging under Al-Aqsa Mosque.

1996: Ateret Cohanim, funded largely through tax-exempt dollars donated by rich American Jews such as Irving Moskowitz, opened a tunnel - excavated in secret night-time operations – that runs the length of Al-Aqsa compound. The controversial tunnel sparked intense clashes that claimed the lives of 60 Palestinians.

1997: new Israeli diggings under Al-Aqsa Mosque.

2009: Israeli authorities begin excavations to build a tunnel near Al-Aqsa Mosque. The tunnel was being built underneath the Arab neighbourhood of Silwan and is now 120 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 3 meters high. The tunnel is heading north toward Al-Aqsa Mosque and would be connected with another one being built underneath Silwan neighbourhood, with the aim of eventually connecting it with the network of tunnels that leads to Al-Aqsa. The objective of the excavation is to demolish Al-Aqsa and to build the so-called second temple on its ruins.

The continuous diggings and building works beneath the Al-Haram Ash-Sharif using heavy equipment and chemicals to dissolve the rocks weakens the foundations of the compound. These Israeli diggings have lead to the collapse of the main entrance to the Jerusalem’s Waqf department, the collapse of the roof of Othman’s Mosque and the collapse of a stone wall on the Noble Sanctuary. They also allow unauthorized entry to the compound from tunnels. At the same time, the Israeli authorities prevent the Palestinian Islamic Waqf authorities from conducting any building or renovation works in the Noble Sanctuary compound. The Israeli police continuously interferences in Waqf responsibilities, often after the complaints of fanatics Jewish groups who want the compound for themselves, or Israeli archeologists who want to dig up the whole compound in search of a temple. For example, in 1998 the Israeli police ordered the Waqf to stop the renovations of a vault underneath Al-Aqsa that is sometimes used for prayers. A year later, the Israeli police prevented the expansion of a window opened up by the Waqf to provide light and air for basement rooms under the Al-Aqsa. Zionist insolence knows no limit; the “Temple Mount Faithful” fanatics, known for their numerous attempts to destroy Al-Aqsa, even went as far as to petition the Israeli High Court of Justice to order the Israel Antiques Authority to supervise construction works carried out by Palestinians in Al-Haram Ash-Sharif in order to “prevent damage and theft of antiques”.

The Good Soldiers of David Finkel

The Good Soldiers of David Finkel

The Good Soldiers by David Finkel talks about the Surge of George Bush and he provides a very frank and critical account of those American victims. In short, Vietnam all over again! However, the Iraqi victims and the illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq based on false and fabricated reasons and grounds were out of his radar and agenda.

Anyway, 18/19 years old naive American kids loaded with Americana under the command of prejudiced and bigoted commanders (sound like neo-cons and George Bush?) indoctrinated by anti-Arab and anti-Muslim zeal went to Iraq to ‘kick asses’. The unlucky soldiers died in Iraq, Some badly injured ones went back to USA. Amongst them, some are worse than dead with tragic tales! The lucky ones are alive and not injured physically. However, they are in a vegetable state too. They call it the ‘collateral damage’ or cost of war! I say the brutal and barbaric face of the modern society and politics.

He also spoke about the justified and unjustified slaughter of civilians and journalists by the American war machines in Iraq.

This Pulitzer Prize winning writer was “In Conversation with Eric Campbell” at the Gleebooks of Sydney, Australia last night to launch his book The Good Soldiers. Most of the academics, journalists, left-wingers were somewhat compliant apart from my good friend Jeff Lee. He questioned about Australian freelance journalist John Martinkus and the then Australian Prime Minister John Howard’s vitriol against him for getting kidnapped out side the Australian Embassy, Baghdad. He also questioned about the clumsy role of the Australian Union of Journalists at that time regarding this issue.

Eventually I took the microphone at one stage. I spoke about the lucky boy of Iraq known as Ali Abbas. He is lucky because he had lost his arm and leg but he is still alive. He also lost 14 members of his family including his mother, father, brothers and sisters. I also spoke about the millions of non-American victims of this illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq based on false and fabricated reasons and grounds who are not known to us and not lucky as Ali. There was some deep breathing around the audience.

David was quick to maintain a distance from the legality and morality of the war as well as Iraqi victims.

Jeff Sharlet wrote Jesus killed Mohammed: (The crusade for a Christian military) based on similar US Army assignment of 2004 in Iraq. His portrayal of loaded naive young soldiers and prejudiced and bigoted commanders are similar to David Finkel. However, Jeff Sharlet managed to expose the ENDEMIC anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim policies, sentiments and activities in the US military establishment.

Blackwater In Iraq: Christian Crusaders Killing For Christ, Christian apology for the Crusades, Muslim-Christian Relations, The Good, the Bad, 21st Century Crusaders:Onward Christian Soldiers, Marching as to War, Christian' Crusaders and Failures of Intelligence in the US Military and From the crusaders on, contempt for the Arabs is written in stone basically confirm and reconfirm Christian (?) aggression!

At the end I conclude, the aggression and bloodbath mentioned above are not for the benefit of Christianity and won’t please Jesus Christ (PBUH).
